La Fibra

PyroTex^® es una fibra de nuevo desarrollo basada en el acrilonitrilo que supera con creces los estándares aceptados actualmente, y que gracias a sus variadas propiedades no es comparable con ninguna de las fibras resistentes a las llamas disponibles hasta el momento. Entre dichas propiedades podemos citar, entre otras:

• Resistencia las llamas: el LOI es de un 43 %
• Resistencia a los ácidos/bases
• Resistencia a los rayos UV
• Resistencia a los diluyentes, a la hidrólisis y a la oxidación
• Resistencia a temperaturas constantes de hasta un máx. de 250°C
• Antibacteriano

Otras propiedades de PyroTex^®:

• No se funde ni gotea
• No genera olores visibles
• No genera vapores tóxicos
• Puede teñirse (también disponible teñido en la hilera) → PyroTex^® tenido

Procesable de todos los sistemas de hilado y como no tejido.

PyroTex^® is an engineered Acrylic fiber and clearly surpasses currently accepted standards. Because of its inherent properties it is not comparable to any of the other FR fibers on the market. For example:

• Flame resistant – the LOI is 43%
• Acid and Alkaline resistant
• UV resistant
• Resistant against solvents, hydrolysis and oxidizing agents
• Heat resistant up to 250°C (480°F)  
• Anti-bacterial

Other properties of PyroTex^® are:

• does not melt nor drip
• does not smoke
• does not produce toxic fumes
• is dyeable (also available in dope dyed) → PyroTex^® coloured

As fiber in bales of 220kg (485lbs) in 2,0 - 2,8 - 3,8 - 8,5dtex (2.0 - 2.5 - 3.5 - 8.0den) and cut lengths between 20-120mm (0.8-4.4in) according to customer specifications.
